Defender Jonny Evans is to have a scan on Monday to assess the calf injury he aggravated in Leicester City’s 3-1 defeat by Arsenal.
The Northern Ireland centre-half was substituted in the 69th minute of Sunday’s Premier League match.
Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers revealed Evans has had an issue with his calf for “a few weeks”.
“He’ll have a scan later today just to see where that’s at,” Rodgers told the Leicester City website on Monday.
“Jonny’s from the old school, he’ll play through anything and everything to help out his team.
“It’s been an issue for a few weeks and, early in the game yesterday, it was aggravating it up to a point where, later on, he couldn’t continue. We’ll get a scan done on that today and see where he’s at.”
Evans is a doubt for Leicester’s Premier League trip to Burnley on Wednesday.
Northern Ireland begin their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign on 25 March away to Italy before a friendly at home to the USA three days later, and another qualifier at Windsor Park against Bulgaria on 31 March.
