The Gunners were reluctant to meet Lyon’s asking price for Aouar last summer which was close to £45m.
But Odegaard opened up on his future earlier this month where he hinted that he would be happy to stay at Arsenal for next season.
“I am happy here at Arsenal, we will see after the season what will happen,” he said.
“I’m owned by Real Madrid, so we have to speak to them. It’s important to understand what they want.”
