Arsenal hope to confirm the £50million signing of Ben White from Brighton with the defender undergoing a medical this weekend.
The 23-year-old has been in Mykonos enjoying a short holiday following the conclusion of England’s Euro 2020 campaign, before he returns home to complete his north London move.
White was a last-minute call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad, though did not feature during the run to the final.

With William Saliba sent out on loan again and David Luiz leaving the club during the summer after his contract expired, Arsenal moved to bolster their ranks at the centre of defence.
It took three attempts for Mikel Arteta’s Gunners to get their man as Brighton held firm before agreeing to the transfer. Bids of £40m and then £47m with various add-ons were rejected.
Midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has also arrived at the Emirates in an £18m move, while attempts to bring in a goalkeeper this summer are still ongoing.
Sheffield United’s Aaron Ramsdale remains a target but they are unlikely to match the Championship side’s £32m valuation.
The latest bid is believed to include an initial fee of £18m plus add-ons up to £26m.
