He did start against Manchester City at the weekend, but struggled to make an impact going forward and may not have done enough to keep his place.
Young Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka have proven to be Arsenal’s biggest threat going forward in creating chances and may well relish the chance to secure the club’s place in the next round.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang meanwhile has been moved back into a central position in recent weeks and has looked more dangerous as a result.
