ARSENAL have reportedly stolen a march on Manchester United in the hunt to nab Ipswich starlet Dylan Crowe.
The 17-year-old right-back is yet to make his debut for the Tractor Boys, but is already in high demand after starring at the U-17 European Championships this summer.
He helped the Young Lions reach the last four, where they lost against eventual champions Holland on penalties.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners are leading the chase to sign the teenager ahead of a plethora of potential suitors.
SunSport reported that the Red Devils were keen on Crowe in July, while he also has admirers from two of Germany's top clubs.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are understood to be vying for his signature, with the two teams able to offer the youngster a clearer path to first team football.
But the Mirror claim that it is Unai Emery's side that are pushing the hardest to get the deal over the line.
Crowe has been with Ipswich since the age of 12, with the Championship outfit desperate to tie him down to a professional deal at Portman Road.
However, he could wish to follow in the footsteps of some of England's brightest talents that have flourished since making the switch to Germany in recent times.
Jadon Sancho continues to turn heads at Dortmund, while Reiss Nelson has blossomed at Hoffenheim after joining on a season-long loan from Arsenal.
