JUVENTUS have reportedly made contact with Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi in a shock transfer deadline day deal.
It comes after the Serie A champions saw veteran centre-back Giorgio Chiellini pick up an ACL injury in training which could see him sidelined for six months.

The Italian needs surgery after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament and Juve chiefs are now scouting for a replacement.

However, the Italian kings are also interested in Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng, but are yet to bid for the German.
The Old Lady splashed £67.5million on starlet Matthijs de Ligt this summer beating a host of European clubs for the ex-Ajax captain.
But the 20-year-old was benched against Parma on the opening day of the season and suffered criticism on his debut for two mistakes in Juve’s narrow 4-3 win against Napoli.
Juve target Mustafi is also under-fire, becoming increasingly unpopular with Arsenal fans.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan travelled to Roma to complete a loan move and Gunners fans praised the two potential deadline day departures.
One said: “Hearing reports of Mustafi to Juventus! … A club known for its legendary defenders signing Mustafi!! … If this happens , it will be the greatest con job ever…”
Another said: “mustafi signing for juve??? bring me that cash.”
After Unai Emery brought in David Luiz for £8m from Chelsea this summer the German defender has lost his place in the starting 11 – not featuring at all this term.
Mustafi saw a move to Roma break down after they opted for Manchester United centre-half Chris Smallling on a loan.
But it is understood Emery is open to flogging the defender, who cost £35million from Valencia, and Juve have until 7.00pm in Italy to get a deal over the line.
