TOP STORY: Zaha set for £80m switch to Arsenal?
It’s no secret that Arsenal want to sign a winger this summer and Crystal Palace’s Wifried Zaha is really keen that it’s him, according to the Mirror.
Zaha, 26, joined Manchester United in 2013 but it didn’t work out and he headed back to Palace two years later. Now, after proving himself a top player in the Premier League, the Ivory Coast winger wants another move: this time to boyhood club Arsenal.
The Gunners only have a summer budget of around £45m but are reportedly ready to sell one of their best players like Golden Boot winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in order to fund a move for Zaha.
With right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka joining Man United for £50m, Palace could find themselves with a boatload of cash to spend very soon.

09.25 BST: Highly-rated Republic of Ireland U19 international Luca Connell has signed for Celtic from Bolton on a four-year deal.
09.00 BST: Wellington Phoenix attacker Sarpreet Singh, 20, is set to move to Bayern Munich, in a deal worth around AU$1m.
“The contract is quite clear and we can’t reveal details but there is a fee in there as well as a few add-ons,” Phoenix CEO David Dome told the NZ Herald. “We are happy with the overall structure and the deal in its entirety, no doubt about it.
“We fully expected the Under-20 World Cup would be a shop window for a number of our players and we had planned that Sarpreet could have been one of those to receive an offer. We always thought it could play out like this, though we were a little bit surprised obviously that it is Bayern that have come in for him.”

Inter ready to sell to bring in Lukaku
Inter Milan are ready to swell their transfer coffers by selling two stars in order to bring in Romelu Lukaku this summer.
That’s according to The Sun, which reports that Antonio Conte has stepped up his interest in the misfiring Manchester United striker and is willing to flog Joao Mario and Dalbert for a combined fee of £40m in order to meet the Old Trafford asking price of £75m.
Mario will be a familiar name to West Ham fans who watched the Portugal international shine in the Premier League a couple of seasons ago and now he appears to be en route to Monaco, who are ready to splash out £22m for his services.
Dalbert, meanwhile, is attracting the attention of both Monaco and Lyon, who are both prepared to shell out £18m for the Brazilian.
The sales would help enormously as Inter attempt to lure Lukaku to Italy’s fashion capital as Conte hopes the Belgium man proves to be the perfect fit and the club attempts to end Juve’s stranglehold on Serie A.
Latest Bayern bid batted back by Chelsea
You can’t fault German giants Bayern Munich for a lack of effort when it comes to Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Bundesliga side are head-over-heels in love with the Chelsea starlet, despite him currently being out of action with a long-term injury. The Guardian report this evening that Bayern have submitted another bid for the England international but have once again been rebuffed by a Chelsea side that can ill afford to say farewell to one of their brightest young stars as a transfer ban looms.
Hudson-Odoi could be back in action in early September and Chelsea are clearly intent on ensuring that he’s playing for them and not Bayern when that happens.
Not that Bayern appear to be put off. They first entered the race for his signature back in January, putting in an initial offer of £35m for a player who has shone at Stamford Bridge, despite finding his opportunities limited. However, with his current deal at Stamford Bridge set to expire in under 12 months, Chelsea will know they have to work quickly to persuade him that his future lies in London and not elsewhere.
Chelsea threaten Morata recall
Chelsea are playing hard-ball with Atletico Madrid over Alvaro Morata‘s loan to the club. That’s what the Telegraph is reporting, with the paper claiming that the Europa League holders aren’t taking any nonsense from their continental rivals — and are demanding that the Spanish side make Morata’s loan spell a permanent one. Or they will take him back to London.
Morata joined Atletico on an 18-month loan deal back in January but Chelsea have the option of bringing him back to Stamford Bridge if the Spaniards don’t make his move to the capital a permanent arrangement. Now, with a two-year transfer ban looming ever closer, they’re prepared to exercise that right unless the Spanish side cough up. Given that they’re just about to plunk £112.9m on Joao Felix that might be enough to persuade Atleti to hand Morata a one-way ticket back to London.
Tap-ins
– Theo Hernandez is set to sign a mega six-year deal with AC Milan after biding farewell to Real Madrid. That’s according to Marca, which reports that the left-back — who spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad — will undergo a medical at the San Siro on Monday. The Spanish outlet report that everything has been agreed between the two clubs — with an official announcement to follow Hernandez’s once over.
– And finally, Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that Daniel Levy holds the key to Spurs’ transfer activity this summer. The Daily Mail reports comments from the Spurs boss that it’s Levy who will have the final say on how much the club does or doesn’t spend before the new season kicks off.
