The 22-year-old was not used frequently by Jose Mourinho but will wait to see how new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer utilises him before making any decision.

Pereira’s contract expires at the end of the season, meaning he would be available on the cheap next month.

Brazilian outlet UOL claim Arsenal, Everton and West Ham have all made offers for the midfielder.

Pereira impressed last season while on loan at La Liga outfit Sevilla.

But despite starting the first matches of the current campaign, the Brazilian quickly found himself dropped by Mourinho.

The reports claim Pereira’s agent has received proposals from Arsenal, Everton and West Ham ahead of the January window.

The midfielder is set for talks with Solskjaer over his future at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian has replaced Mourinho until the end of the season and has told all his players they will have opportunities to impress.

He said: “Everyone in the squad knows that ‘I’ve got a chance now’ because whatever has gone, whatever has happened has happened.

“Now it’s just about from here, United’s interim manager said last week.

“Everyone starts with a clean slate and we want players to perform, and we’ll give them the chance.

“We have got 23, 24 players, they’re all quality and they’ll all get a chance now. With the amount of games coming up, they have got a chance to show that they are Manchester United players.”

Pereira will hope to feature for United on Sunday when they take on Bournemouth in the Premier League (4.30pm).

Manchester United currently sit sixth in the table and trail Chelsea in fourth by eight points.

But Ryan Giggs thinks the Red Devils could secure Champions League qualification.

“It’s a tough league but there are a lot of games to come, and we’ve seen what can happen in football with Manchester City and Liverpool [swapping places],” the Wales manager said.

“We used to do it [as players], we could have been 10 or 12 points behind, but we chased down those leads at times.

”As long as it is mathematically possible, and you probably need to beat your rivals as well, [then there is a chance]. We need a good run of games.

“Getting our confidence up going into that Tottenham game [on January 13] will be important as well.”
