Varane to United
Manchester United want to make Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane their first signing of the transfer window.
The Real Madrid star is expected to cost around £75m and the Daily Star report that United chief executive Ed Woodward is keen to do the deal.
Woodward is expected the defender to hold value and he would have a large sell-on fee in the years to come.
Varane is known to Mourinho after they worked together at Madrid with Mourinho also lining up some other signings.
Perisic rejected United
Ivan Perisic has revealed that he rejected Manchester United to stay at Inter Milan.
He said: "It’s true that an offer from Manchester United was on the table and that I was close to leaving Inter.
"But I decided to stay and, as I said, Spalletti’s perseverance to keep me played a big role. In football, small details in these situations are key."
Solanke loan
Sky Sports report that Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke is set to leave on loan in January.
West Ham United and Huddersfield Town are among the clubs keen on the 21-year-old, who has found game time hard to come by at Anfield.
Solanke has not made a single first-team appearance this season and the Hammers are keen on a new attacker.
Ramsey under pressure
Aaron Ramsey will be under pressure in January to sign a pre-contract deal with Juventus, according to the Sun.
The Arsenal star is set to leave the Gunners when his deal expires at the end of the season and Juve – and other overseas clubs – will be able to enter into negotiations with him from January.
That means Juve are keen to put the pressure on Ramsey in order to guarantee his signature ahead of the host of English clubs that are chasing him.
