Sead Kolasinac was all smiles in Arsenal training on Saturday, amid speculation about his future.

The Gunners left-back hasn’t started a friendly under Mikel Arteta since the defeat by Hibernian – their first pre-season outing of the summer.

Speculation is rife that Fenerbahce are interested in signing the former Schalke powerhouse.

And even a certain Mesut Ozil – who left Arsenal earlier this year – has been phoning his former teammate to convince him to move to Turkey, according to Hurriyet.

Here’s some photos of the player at London Colney yesterday:

Writing on the wall

There is no place for Kolasinac at Arsenal anymore.

If there was, Mikel Arteta and Edu wouldn’t have signed Nuno Tavares, who will be Kieran Tierney’s understudy at left-back this season and beyond.

The writing was on the wall for Kolasinac as soon as the North Londoners pulled off that deal for the former Benfica defender.

He is physically still at Arsenal, but the Bosnia and Herzegovina international must be thinking of somewhere else mentally – and perhaps a reunion with his good friend Ozil would suit all parties.
